Menu Frame

This menu contains functions that refer to a single image or an animation frame.

Clear

Clears current image by filling it with the current background color or transparency if alpha is enabled. See Toolbox for clearing multiple frames.

Next

Switches to the next frame of the animation. Switching between previous or current frame is essential when drawing animations, so you should use the keyboard short cut of this function to quickly switch between frames.

Previous

Switches to the previous image of the animation. Switching between next or current frame is essential when drawing animations, so you should use the keyboard short cut of this function to quickly switch between frames.

First Frame

Jumps to the first image of the animation.

Last Frame

Jumps to the last image of the animation.

Previous Key Frame

Switches to the previous existing key frame.

Next Key Frame

Switches to the next existing key frame.

Main Key Frame

Switches to the defined main key frame.

Toggle Key Frame

Selects the current frame to be a key frame.

Resize

Enables you to resize an image or animation.

Insert

Inserts an image to the current position. The current image is automatically copied into the new image.

Delete

Removes the current image from the animation.

Scroll (submenu)

Left, Right, Up, Down
Here you can scroll the entire image pixelwise to the directions:

Scroll current Frame only
When selected, only the current frame of an animation will be scrolled.

All Layers, Current Layer, Visible Layers
Define which layers are to be scrolled.

Flip (submenu)

Flips/mirrors the current frame Horizontal or Vertical. You can define which frame range and layers are to be modified.

Spare Frame (submenu)

The spare frame is a separate image that can be used for different purposes. For example you can do little test drawings, use it as a snippet container. It is also used by the paint mode Rub Through (see menu Mode).

Frame -> Spare Frame
Copies the current image to the spare frame.

Frame <- Spare Frame
Copies spare frame to the current image.

Frame <-> Spare Frame
Swaps spare frame with current image.

Delete Spare Frame
Removes the spare frame.

Background fixed

This function simply takes the current image and uses it as background. If you now draw something on this image with the foreground color it can be removed again by using the background color. Instead of drawing with the background color the image is restored. See also the toolbox.
